Betsy- Registration for District Conference is open.

Sue Burdick and Lynn Donnelly: They have tickets

         for Vergennes Rotary's fundraiser, their annual

         Valentines Day Dance, Feb. 14 at Vergennes

         American Legion. Music by "The Hitmen". For

         tickets call 877-2134 or see Eric for more 

         information.     

 

Ben- Winterfest is Feb. 16,  Sunday this year. Asking

       for interest in the Snow Sculpture contest this year

      Bill Cunningham volunteered to coordinate this

      activity. Bill has a design in mind. A few more

      people could be used.

Geoff- Proposed By-Law changes pertaining to finances

          to bring them up to date with what we actually

          do and to clarify CACO process. He will send by

          email proposed changes. Club will vote on in

         a future meeting.

Scott-Happy to have Paul Horn with us today as a guest and possible new member.

Also presented a Rotary Flag from Elk River Minnesota from a hockey parent.

 

Eric- Happy to have Lynn and Sue as our guests today.

He will attending PETS training planning in Framingham Ma. for incoming Presidents.

 

Maureen: Happy to have Deb and Heather with us today.

 

Troy: Went to New Mexico to see son and grandson.

 

"T"- Happy to have Paul Horn as his guest today. Also "T" recognized Eric for all his work on PETS training and Rotary Foundation work.

PROGRAM:

 

Maureen introduced Deb Wesley, CEO of Addison County Home Health and Hospice and Heather Barry, Volunteer Coordinator. Deb explained the mission and services of ACHHH. They are providers of home care services that include skilled nursing, rehabilitation services and medical social work. They also provide hospice and palliative care services to support end of life care.

 They face many challenges  due to governmental regulations that consistently seem to change.

Local funding is important to their survival as reimbursement from Medicare/Medicaid does not cover costs.

Volunteer opportunities are available to help provide support for their patients.
