March 18- Club assembly- we will put together gift packages for nursing home residents. Maureen circulated sign up sheet for items to be purchased or cash gifts.

Maureen:

Attended PETS over the weekend. She found it very well organized and worthwhile with helpful topics on membership, Rotary Foundation and grants. Thanks to Eric for hard work in organizing.

 

Geoff:

Auction starts March 27. Continue to gather donations and contact Maureen or Geoff for drop off.

 

Ben:

Introduced Liz Lebeau, MUHS music director. She was one of the recipients of last year's Alonzo Malouin Scholarship for teachers education.

 

 

HAPPY DOLLARS:

 

Maureen: Happy for Erics' help on PETS training.

 

Eric-Thanks to Maureen for attending PETS. Eric will continue to be involved with greater involvement over the next three years.

 

Chris: Happy to be back. As Finance Manager at Key Auto he has been busy in training and hopes that life will be back to somewhat normal. Announced that Vergennes American Legion will be hosting St. Patricks Day Dinner Dance March 21 at 6 PM.

 

Liz: Thanks to all members for being supportive of her programs involving addiction and support groups.

Also noted that travel her experiences have been tough.

 

Paul Seward:Spoke to us about the threat of Corona virus and what to expect. Gave us an idea of what Eastview residents will do to protect their population. We should all be vigilant and look out for each other.

 

Raffle: Spence won the raffle again!

 

PROGRAM:

Liz introduced Chastity Johnson from Eastseals Vt.

"The mission of Balanced & Restorative Justice is to enhance youth focused restorative justice across Vermont."

They bring together the victims and youth, that have committed the delinquent act, to make amends to the community. Referrals come from the court system.
